The latter is crucial for determining patient outcome. Materials and Methods: There were 26 participants (38 Super League and 32 National League women) with a mean age of 21.20 ± 4.64 years and body mass index (BMI) of 21.94 ± 1.79 kg/m2. We have evaluated the association between several polymorphisms at the perilipin (PLIN) locus (PLIN1 : 6209T > C, PLIN4 : 11482G > A, PLIN5 : 13041A > G, and PLIN6 : 14995A > T) with obesity-related phenotypes in 1589 White subjects randomly selected from a general Spanish population.
